We began working with the research and financial index provider MSCI in 2017 to create global design standards that could be applied across all their international offices. Our goal has been to consistently reflect their brand and identity while carefully balancing the diverse local cultures of each region. Last year we completed an expansion of their existing Budapest office – one of their largest workplaces in the world – and introduced an evolution of the established design standards, taking into consideration the unique needs of many types of work teams within a single space. On-site observation, focus groups, and one-on-one staff interviews led to an in-depth understanding of how the various teams function, the ways different teams interact, local cultural practices, and future considerations as the company continues to grow. This research led to a workplace design that inspires and fosters productivity and efficiency for different types of workflows through a multi-functional and agile office environments.
